About Tamworth FC

Founded in 2008, Tamworth FC has grown into one of the region’s strongest and most respected football clubs. We field teams across most junior age groups, alongside Senior Women, Third Grade, and First and Reserve Grade men competing in the Northern Inland Premier League.

We’re proud to be a club that offers clear pathways from grassroots football through to senior competition, supported by a strong culture and a genuine love for the game.

Premier League Success

In 2013, the club became only the third in history to capture back-to-back championships in the Premier League. Tamworth FC has achieved significant success with four First Grade Premierships and two Reserve Grade Premierships. In 2018, the club completed an undefeated season to win the First Grade Northern Inland Premier League and went back-to-back again in 2019.

Women's Competition

Since the competition began in 2011, the club has featured in every Grand Final bar one and has secured seven Premiership titles.

In recent seasons, our Senior Women’s team has continued to set the benchmark, claiming back-to-back Major Premierships in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, the team also stepped onto the regional stage, competing in the inaugural Regional Super League, marking an exciting new chapter for women’s football at the club.

Tamworth FC remains committed to providing strong pathways, high-quality coaching and competitive opportunities for women and girls at all levels.

Community Engagement

Tamworth FC hosts a range of fundraising and community events throughout the year in support of local charities and organisations. From Come and Try Days to club favourites like Trivia Night, and Golf Day these events play an important role in connecting the club with the wider community.

That strong community bond remains central to who we are and will continue throughout the 2026 season and beyond.

Club Ethos & Development

Tamworth FC is guided by a strong club ethos built around four core principles:

  • Passion: Sparking passion and driving a fierce, united club spirit.

  • Unity: Bringing members together through a positive and supportive atmosphere.

  • Legacy: Creating memorable experiences that fuel love for the game.

  • Vision: Shaping future stars by championing MiniRoos and junior development.

Developing our junior players is a key focus of the club. By supporting coaches with up-to-date training and resources aligned with the National Football Curriculum, we ensure our juniors learn in an environment that is engaging, supportive and focused on long-term development.

Regional Recognition

Consistency and professionalism across all senior football forms have been recognized at the regional level, with Tamworth FC claiming the prestigious Club Championship in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019.

National Recognition

Tamworth FC is proud to have achieved a 5-Star rating in the FFA National Club Development Plan.
